Keith has been operating as a Chartered Landscape Architect since gaining his professional qualifications in 1989 and throughout his career he has sought to provide high quality practical landscape designs to suit the site location, aspect / climate and to suit the Client's budget /aspirations.

To date this has included working for both Public Authorities and Private Companies and Clients on a range of Housing Developments, Retail and Leisure Developments, New Build Hospitals, Hospital Ward Gardens, Large scale Industrial Developments, Showhome Garden Design and Garden designs for private clients.

This has extended to most areas of Scotland and has recently included sites around London, Rugby, Wales and Stockton .

All sites are personally visited to assess the existing site ground conditions, site climate and aspect, and adjoining areas are reviewed to assess whether the site location will have a significant affect on the proposed planting and landscape design.

Keith has a considerable plant knowledge and he is always keen to learn about new plants / planting solutions that may be useful in new projects.

Keith has been working closely with Highland Landscape Design in a 'Design and Build' capacity, throughout the Highlands, Aberdeenshire and they have undertaken a wide range of projects in collaboration.

Keith graduated from Heriot Watt University / Edinburgh College of Art in 1985, gaining a second class BA (Hons) degree in Landscape Architecture.
Keith carried out his initial professional training period with Scottish Special Housing Association in Glasgow and gained his Chartered Status* in 1989. (*CMLI)
Keith is a member of the Landscape Institute and his Landscape practice is registered (No. 814).
Following periods of employment at McCarthy and Stone and ASH Environmental Design Partnership Keith established his own practice, initially providing freelance landscape design services and commissions of his own.
Keith has collaborated with a number of Construction Companies and Landscape Contractors in the Design and Build Sector and between 2009 and 2013 Keith was employed by Highland Landscape Design to provide a Landscape Design service.
Keith re-established his practice in 2013 since then he has worked with a wide range of Architects, Engineers, Construction Companies, House Builders, Community Groups and Private Clients.
Keith has developed an extensive working knowledge of Keysoft LandCADD landscape software and is often commissioned to be part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide the landscape design advice. The use of the Keysoft software allows him to exchange and export drawings easily with the Project Teams.
Keith has considerable detailed design experience and has provide a Tendering and Construction design and supervision service for a range of clients. Additional NBS Landscape Specification software, Excel, Word and Adobe software are used daily to export information to the project teams / clients.
